BEST BUDGET UNDERCABINET ROUND LIGHT

Snapshot:

How To Buy: Amazon Cutsheet: DALS 6001 - 120V PowerLED Puck Compatible Dimmer Listed By Manufacturer: Lutron DVCL-153P Indoor/Outdoor: Suitable for indoor (dry) locations. Color Rendering (CRI): 90+ (never buy LEDs that have a score less than 90). A score of 80 is actually worse than fluorescent lighting. Color Temperature: 3000K (I don't recommend 3500K for residential projects) Lumens: 350 Wattage: 4.5 Power Supply/Driver: Driver not required. 120V Saving Cost: Changing to a wall wash fixture can be a more cost effective way to light open shelves since fewer light fixtures are required (but the lighting feels less intimate).

Tips for Using This Light on Your Project | BEST BUDGET UNDERCABINET ROUND LIGHT:

Dimming:

All dimmers are not created equal. Flickering and buzzing can often be traced back to using a dimmer that isn’t compatible with the LED, or to connecting too many LEDs to a single dimmer. Quality lighting manufacturers often publish literature on which dimmer lines can be used with their LED light fixture. This particular light manufacturer recommends the Lutron DVCL-153P. It is always worthwhile budgeting for quality dimmers that are compatible with the LED you have chosen.

Value Engineering & Alternates:

If you find that you need to trim cost on your project, consider changing to a wall wash fixture, since fewer light fixtures would be needed in order to illuminate the same area of open shelving. If on the other hand you're willing to spend a bit more for optimal lighting, I highly recommend puck lighting that can be recessed into the open shelving.

Accessories & Junction Boxes:

Work with your electrician to determine if you will need extension cords and junction boxes for your specific project.
